Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that the management of the Strait of Hormuz and shipping routes will not be as before.

Modern.az reports that Iran's "Nournews" agency disseminated this information.

According to the minister, the wars that have occurred over the past year and a half have changed the existing security system in the region and created new realities.

Araqchi stated that negotiations regarding the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz and the management of the strategic waterway will continue.

The head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized the importance of creating a new security architecture in the Persian Gulf. He noted that the security of the region should be ensured through the joint participation of the Gulf countries, without the intervention of foreign states.

Araqchi also announced that consultations are being held between Tehran and the Persian Gulf countries to form new regional security mechanisms.

The minister believes that the presence of foreign military forces in the region does not guarantee long-term stability.

It should be noted that the Strait of Hormuz is of strategic importance for global energy transportation. Possible changes in the management and shipping rules of this waterway could affect international trade and energy markets.
