US President Donald Trump announced that Washington is not planning to launch a military strike on Iran on October 25.
Modern.az reports that, according to the Associated Press, Trump said there would be no attack that day when answering journalists' questions about possible military operations.
At the same time, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghayi said that the exchange of messages between Tehran and Washington through intermediaries continues.
According to him, Iran does not completely rule out the possibility of a diplomatic solution. However, the conditions put forward by the US make it difficult to resume negotiations.
Military-political tension around Iran remains one of the main topics on the international agenda against the background of upcoming elections in the US and Israel.
