US forces struck the Iranian-flagged tanker "Hasna" in the Gulf of Oman.
Modern.az reports that the US Armed Forces Central Command (CENTCOM) announced this on its X account.
It was stated that the tanker, which was moving towards the Iranian port, did not obey numerous warnings from US forces on May 6.
"US Armed Forces applied coercive measures in the Gulf of Oman, immobilizing the Iranian-flagged tanker," CENTCOM emphasized.
It was noted that an F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter-bomber taking off from the "Abraham Lincoln" aircraft carrier disabled the tanker's steering system with 20-millimeter cannon fire.
The command stated that the "Hasna" tanker is no longer moving in the direction of Iran.
