A new Cabinet of Ministers has been formed in Hungary, led by Peter Magyar, chairman of the "Tisa" party, which won the parliamentary elections held on April 12.

Modern.az reports that, according to information released by the government head's press service, the President of Hungary, in accordance with the constitution, signed a decree on the appointment of 16 new ministers proposed by the prime minister and supported by the parliament.

The ceremony of presenting credentials to the new members of the Cabinet of Ministers was organized at the President's official residence - Sándor Palace - and was broadcast live on local channels. Immediately after the swearing-in ceremony before the legislature, they will begin to exercise their powers.

The first official working meeting of the new government is scheduled for May 13.

The previous government, led by former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, had officially resigned earlier. Thus, after 16 years in power, the "FIDESZ - Hungarian Civic Alliance" party will continue its activities in opposition.
