The Ministry of Internal Affairs' Intelligent Transport Management Center has appealed to drivers.
According to information given to Modern.az from the ITMC, the appeal states that road accidents sometimes occur due to the haste of some drivers on the roads:
"Especially, starting to move at the yellow light signal before the green light signal is fully on, as well as seconds before the red light signal turns on, results in an accident. We remind such drivers once again that the red light signal of the traffic light, or its flashing, prohibits movement. In addition, the yellow light signal prohibits movement and warns that the signals will change soon. To move, one must wait for the green light signal.
Let's not forget that obeying traffic light signals is mandatory according to Article 60 of the "Law on Road Traffic"".
