Anna Akopyan, the ex-wife of Armenia's acting Prime Minister (on leave due to election campaign) Nikol Pashinyan, has returned to him after a tumultuous separation.
Modern.az reports that Armenia's "Zhoghovurd" newspaper published this information, citing its sources. It was stated that Anna Akopyan will join Nikol Pashinyan on the last day of the election campaign.
"Anna Akopyan, the former wife of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who previously did not accompany the Prime Minister at public meetings held within the framework of the election campaign, has informed her close circle that the entire family will appear on stage on the last day of the election campaign," the publication noted.
According to the newspaper, on that day, Akopyan will stand by Pashinyan with her children, demonstrating family support in the final stage of the election campaign.
It should be recalled that on February 27 of this year, Akopyan announced her separation from Pashinyan. She stated that she had left the government residence and moved to a rented apartment. At the same time, she announced that she would remain in her position as executive director of the "My Step" foundation.

In turn, Pashinyan said that he respected Anna Akopyan's decision. He emphasized that Akopyan had been by his side during the most difficult times for many years and expressed regret for perhaps causing her distress.
On April 19 of this year, Pashinyan shared a video from the government residence, and Akopyan was seen in the background. Later, they participated together in a car rally in the city of Gyumri.
The Prime Minister stated that when his former wife publicly announced their divorce at the end of February, he said he respected that decision. But, according to him, respecting that decision does not mean reconciling with her. Pashinyan later declared that he made efforts to protect his family.
Nikol Pashinyan and Anna Akopyan are classmates. They first met in 1991 while studying journalism at the Faculty of Philology of Yerevan State University.
Anna Akopyan is 3 years younger than Nikol Pashinyan; she was born in 1978, and the Prime Minister was born in 1975.
Nikol and Anna were also colleagues. In 1999, Nikol Pashinyan founded the daily newspaper "Haykakan Zhamanak" ("Armenian Time") and led it until 2012. In 2013, his wife Anna Akopyan took over the position of editor-in-chief.
In 2018, Anna Akopyan founded the "My Step" and "City of Smiles" charitable foundations.
Anna and Nikol have 4 children: their son Ashot, and daughters Mariam, Shushanna, and Arpine.
