Bahrain will not participate in collective meetings with Iran until diplomatic relations with that country are restored.
Modern.az reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain issued a statement about this.
It was stated that Bahrain will not attend the ministerial meeting regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. The country will not take part in any collective meeting attended by Tehran until diplomatic relations with Iran are restored.
The Ministry noted that Bahrain had previously officially communicated this position to the Omani side through diplomatic channels.
However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the decision does not affect the appreciation of the efforts of the Omani government. The Ministry praised Oman for its commitment to dialogue to resolve differences.
