Iran has accused the US of using chemical components during a strike on its territory.
Modern.az reports that Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghi Lamard said that Washington's admission that a new missile was tested in the area, as well as irrefutable field evidence and documented evidence, refute the explanations put forward by the US.
According to him, the information obtained indicates that the incident against the civilian population was carried out intentionally, according to the Iranian side's claim.
Baghi added that a separate investigation conducted by the Iranian Ministry of Health determined that chemical components were used in the weapon in question to increase its lethality.
The Iranian official said that all materials related to the incident will be evaluated as documented evidence of a war crime.
