Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the opposition "Strong Armenia" movement in Armenia, has expressed his opposition to the possible withdrawal of Russia's 102nd military base from the country. He stated that he considers the preservation of Russian military presence necessary.
Modern.az reports, citing local media, that Samvel Karapetyan has taken a strong stance on the issue.
"If there are no Russians, Turks will come. There must definitely be a military base here," the opposition leader said.
It should be noted that Russia's 102nd military base is located in Gyumri, Armenia.
