The European Union is preparing to significantly expand its sanctions lists in October. It is reported that more than 1600 individuals and legal entities may be included in the new list.
Modern.az reports that among the individuals who may be subject to new sanctions, the name of the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, is also mentioned.
According to information, in Brussels, Minnikhanov is associated with the transfer of children from Ukraine to Tatarstan, including their placement in the "Miras" camp.
In addition, it is noted that more than 15 organizations, including children's camps, educational and sports centers, may also face EU restrictions.
The total annual turnover of companies that could potentially be covered by the sanctions is reported to be around 22 billion dollars.
