US strikes targets in southern Iran

The US has launched strikes in southern Iran, stating it acted in "self-defense."

Modern.az reports, citing "Fox News" television channel, that this was stated by Captain Tim Hawkins, an official of the US Central Command (CENTCOM).

He said that among the targets of the attack were missile launchers, as well as Iranian boats attempting to lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
