US President Donald Trump said that he considers the 30 billion dollars spent on military operations against Iran to be “just pocket change”.
Modern.az reports that the head of state spoke about this in an interview with “Fox News” TV channel.
“I heard a very foolish congressman talking about the 30 billion dollars spent on the war with Iran. This is just pocket change. Because we have earned many times more money than that in Venezuela,” Trump said.
According to the US leader, Washington is acting from a position of strength in the conflict with Iran, and there is a “very high probability” for the parties to reach an agreement.
Trump announced that he does not intend to resume military operations against Iran immediately after the interim congressional elections on November 3.
US Vice President J.D. Vance also stated that “some progress” has been made in consultations on stopping the conflict between Washington and Tehran.
