Plans to close three schools in North London due to declining student numbers have sparked strong protests from parents, teachers, and students.
Modern.az reports that campaign participants gathered in front of the Enfield Civic Centre ahead of the community and scrutiny committee meeting to express their opposition to the decision.
Specifically, the proposed decision envisages the cessation of operations of "Bishop Stopford", "Starks Field" and "Suffolks" primary schools.
It should be noted that although the plan to close the schools was put forward by the Conservative administration of Enfield Council, with the intervention of Labour council members, the project was put on hold for reconsideration.
