Levent Koç, the mayor of Haymana district of Ankara, resigned from the Republican People's Party (CHP).

Modern.az reports with reference to the Turkish media that the mayor who left CHP is expected to continue his political activities in the ruling party.

According to the information, Levent Koç is claimed to officially join the AK Party in the coming days. Detailed information about the reasons for the resignation and the official statement of the mayor has not yet been provided.
