Record amounts of precipitation have fallen in the Georgian city of Batumi in the last two days.
Modern.az reports, citing local media, that the rain in the resort city continued for 21 hours without interruption.
Within one day, 275 millimeters of precipitation fell in Batumi. This is equivalent to 90 percent of the monthly norm.
According to information, such heavy rainfall is observed approximately once in a hundred years.
