US President Donald Trump said that Washington maintains constant contact with Yemen's rebel Houthi movement "Ansar Allah".
Modern.az reports with reference to "Fox News" TV channel that journalist Trey Yingst informed about this on the air of the TV channel.
"The President stated that the US maintains constant contact with the Houthis and they have agreed not to conduct military operations against the US," Yingst noted.
It should be noted that on September 19, US embassies in several Middle Eastern countries once again warned Americans to remain vigilant due to the tense situation in the region. US diplomatic missions in Jordan, Israel, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon stated that the security situation remains complex due to tensions in the Middle East and there is a possibility of unexpected escalation.
On the same day, Trump left his Camp David residence in Maryland a day earlier than planned. US media speculated that the president's early return could be due to events in the Middle East. Thus, "The Hill" linked Trump's unplanned return to Washington with the Houthis' strike on Riyadh, which was intercepted by Saudi Arabia's air defense systems.
