Chuck Schumer, the leader of the Democratic Party faction in the US Senate, promised that after the victory of his party members in the midterm elections, they would achieve the end of the conflict with Iran.
Modern.az reports that Schumer spoke about this in a statement to journalists.
“This war must end,” he said.
According to him, some Republicans are also joining Democrats with the intention of stopping military operations.
It should be recalled that on November 3, 435 members of the House of Representatives and 35 members of the Senate were elected in the midterm elections held in the US.
As a result of these elections, Democrats took control of both chambers of Congress.
It should be noted that the US and Israel started a war against Iran on February 28.
Although there is currently relative calm in the conflict, the confrontation has not yet been resolved and the risk of renewed military operations remains.
