Modern.az reports that CNN spread information about this, citing two American officials.
According to the TV channel, the US has deployed enough military forces in the region to carry out strikes. Iran's energy infrastructure, military and nuclear facilities are among the possible targets.
However, it is reported that the final decision on the operation has not yet been made.
Some current and former American officials believe that the order could be given by the end of the year, most likely after the US Congress midterm elections.
