In 2027, one of the largest expenditure items of the Armenian state budget will be pension provision. Approximately 674 billion drams have been allocated for this purpose in next year's state budget draft.
Modern.az reports, citing Armenian media, that this was noted in the country's 2027 state budget draft.
The funds allocated for pension provision are approximately 60 billion drams more than the 613.8 billion drams earmarked for defense expenditures.
According to the budget draft, the total budget of the Armenian Ministry of Defense will be 616.5 billion drams. Of this amount, 613.8 billion drams will be directed to the program "Maintaining combat readiness and defending state borders from external enemies, ensuring the strategic deployment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia."
In addition, more than 1 billion drams are planned to be allocated from the Ministry of Defense's budget for military-medical services and the provision of medical services.
