Protests against the regime of President Emmanuel Macron in various French cities have turned into riots and clashes with police. At least 60 demonstrators were injured as a result of the incidents.
Modern.az reports with reference to “Le Figaro” newspaper that the condition of four of the injured is serious. The circumstances under which they were injured have not been disclosed.
During the clashes, 18 law enforcement officers were also injured. However, these figures are said to be incomplete. Thus, 19 police officers were injured only in Marseille while preventing riots and looting incidents.
In Paris, several gendarmes suffered burn injuries as a result of pyrotechnic devices with incendiary mixtures being thrown at them.
It should be noted that protest actions in France gained wide momentum again on Saturday. More than 320,000 people participated in demonstrations across the country.
