Political discussions continue in Israel to form a new government after the elections. The election results created a complex picture among political forces in the country. Although the party led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains the largest political force, it seems difficult to obtain the necessary political support to form a government. This situation is expected to affect Israel's relations with Turkey.

In his statement to Modern.az, Israeli political scientist Igor Roytapel stated that the post-election stage is still in the initial stage in terms of forming any government:

"On the one hand, the Jewish-Zionist majority seems to support Netanyahu, and his party remains the largest political force in Israel. On the other hand, it is extremely difficult to form a government under the current circumstances. At the same time, the attempt of the left camp to form any government with the support of Arab forces would question the functioning of that government from the very beginning in terms of the support of the majority of the people. Because the right camp was not actually defeated, it simply could not gather as many votes as expected in the elections."

The political scientist noted that the political situation in Israel will not be without impact on relations with Turkey:

"This situation will either lead to a sharp escalation of relations due to the extremely weak position of the left camp, or contacts will be established under circumstances where Israel acts from a weak position. This in itself is risky for Israel. The Israel-Turkey conflict can only be resolved through deeper and more fundamental agreements of an ideological nature. Both sides must recognize the ideological sovereignty of the other country. The basis for this can be a deeper and more fundamental study of the roots of conflicts in the region, as well as the principle of states not interfering in each other's internal affairs."
