Iran continues to exchange messages with the US through mediators.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bagayi.
According to him, the seven-day plan previously proposed by Tehran remains the basis for negotiations.
Bagayi stated that no agreement will be reached without an end to the US naval blockade and full compliance with Iran's demands.
“Currently, the ball is in the US court. Iran's demands are completely clear and well-founded. Until the US naval blockade is stopped and Iran's legitimate demands are fully met, no agreement will be reached, the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened, and its security will not be ensured,” he said.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman added that it will not be possible to unilaterally ensure security in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf without lifting economic sanctions and fulfilling obligations.
