The pre-trial detention of former lawyer Namizad Safarov, accused of fraud, has been extended.
Modern.az reports that the submission in this regard was considered at the Khatai District Court under the chairmanship of Judge Fuad Akhundov.
According to the decision, it was decided to extend his pre-trial detention for a period of 3 months.
It should be noted that, according to the indictment, Namizad Safarov, who introduced himself as a lawyer, is accused of abusing the trust of a citizen and seizing 53,000 manats. He convinced the dismissed citizen that he would reinstate him to his position and received a large sum of money under this pretext, but since he did not fulfill his promise, the citizen appealed to the police.
He was charged under Article 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code (Fraud - committed by causing large-scale damage).
