Nariman Celal, Ukraine's ambassador to Ankara, has been summoned to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the attack on two ships operated by a Turkish company in the Black Sea.

Modern.az reports, citing "TRT Haber", that on August 26, the Ro-Ro ship named "Lider Bordo Mavi" was subjected to a drone attack near the Russian port of Tuapse. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out on the ship, and according to initial reports, five crew members were injured.

On August 27, another Ro-Ro ship named "L Kocate", which was sent to tow the damaged ship from Sochi port to Turkey's Ünye port, was also targeted off the coast of Sochi–Tuapse. Although a fire started on the ship, the crew intervened to extinguish the flames. The ship later reached Samsun port.

During the meeting at the Turkish MFA, Ankara's protest regarding the incidents was conveyed to the Ukrainian ambassador.

"Relevant warnings have been made about the necessity of ensuring the safety of human lives, property, shipping, and the environment in the Black Sea," a source at the Turkish MFA stated.

No independently confirmed information has been released regarding the parties that carried out the attacks. Therefore, it would be incorrect to present the incidents as confirmed facts caused by the Ukrainian side in the news.
