Ukrainian lawmakers are discussing lowering the mobilization age from 25 to 23 due to a shortage of soldiers at the front.
Modern.az reports that Ukrainian lawyer Sergey Starenkin stated this on the “Novosti.Live” program.
According to him, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada are currently discussing this initiative, and corresponding changes to the law are expected afterwards.
It should be recalled that general mobilization in Ukraine was announced in February 2022 and has been extended several times. Initially, men aged 27-60 were called up for military service, but in April 2024, this age was lowered to 25.
