The Media Development Agency has announced a competition to support online media entities.
Modern.az was informed by MEDIA that online media entities publishing public-political and sports content included in the Media Register can participate in the competition.
To participate in the competition, the application and attached documents are submitted electronically to the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan via the mib.media.gov.az portal.
For media entities to participate in the competition, they must have a staff of at least four people, including one responsible editor and three journalists.
At the end of the competition, a contract is signed between the Agency and the online media entities declared winners for the provision of monthly financial assistance in the amount of 5000 (five thousand) manats to each of these entities, and it remains in force for 6 (six) months. During this period, the minimum salary of each of the four relevant employees must be 800 (eight hundred) manats.
It was noted that applications for the competition can be submitted until May 12, 2026, at 18:00.
