Some details of the “Islamabad Agreement” reached between the US and Iran have been revealed.
Modern.az reports that this information was disseminated by Iran's “Tasnim” news agency.
According to the information, the 13th paragraph of the document signed between the parties has a special weight.
Thus, according to this paragraph, no final document, i.e. any negotiations regarding the nuclear issue, will be held between the parties until certain conditions of the memorandum are fully implemented. Until the last day of the negotiations, the aforementioned 13th paragraph covered the other 4, 5, 10 and 11th paragraphs of the agreement.
According to the terms of the agreement, paragraph 4 provides for the lifting of the naval blockade against Iran, paragraph 5 for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz for commercial vessels, paragraph 10 for the complete removal of sanctions applied to the sale of Iranian oil, petrochemical products and their derivatives, and paragraph 11 for the release of Iran's frozen assets in foreign banks.
The agency reports that on the last day of the negotiations, as a result of great efforts by official Tehran, a significant change occurred in the document, and paragraph 1 was also added. This means that if any military operation occurs in Iran or in the resistance front it is part of, including Lebanon, negotiations for a final agreement will be immediately suspended. At the same time, according to Article 13, the implementation of the agreement, including the process of opening the Strait of Hormuz, will be automatically frozen.
