Sergey Naryshkin, the head of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service, stated that the Armenian authorities could face serious problems if they rely solely on Western support.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that according to Naryshkin, such a political course would be a wrong step and could lead to a complication of the internal political situation in the country, as well as the creation of additional obstacles for the economic development of the republic.
He noted that Armenia's sole focus on Western support could lead to undesirable consequences for the country.
The Russian official also expressed hope that the Armenian leadership would make "wise and thoughtful" decisions on this matter.
