Kazakhstan has started using the digital tenge as its third national currency.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that the digital tenge will be used alongside cash and cashless payments in the country.
Thus, the digital tenge has gained the status of one of the official payment instruments in Kazakhstan's financial system. The introduction of the new currency is expected to contribute to increasing the security of payments, more efficient execution of financial transactions, and the development of the digital economy.
It should be noted that the digital tenge is considered the digital form of the tenge, the national currency of Kazakhstan.
