Yegor Yadykin, a 21-year-old forward for Russia's "Norilsk" hockey club, died as a result of a tragic incident. Immediately after the athlete's death, his 67-year-old grandfather also passed away.

Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that Yegor Yadykin and his grandfather Viktor Nikolayevich were preparing to go to the city of Salavat in Bashkortostan for hunting. During preparations for the trip, as the hockey player tried to pick up the rifle, the weapon accidentally discharged and the bullet hit him.

According to information, the incident happened in front of Yadykin's grandfather. It is reported that Viktor Nikolayevich immediately sent a voice message to his relatives. A few hours later, he ended his life in a garage on Industrialnaya Street.

All details of the incident are being investigated by law enforcement agencies.
