Russia has sent a note of protest to Yerevan regarding the desecration of the Soviet memorial in Gyumri, Armenia.

Modern.az reports that Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, informed about this at a weekly briefing.

Zakharova stated that Moscow considers the desecration of the Soviet memorial in Gyumri unacceptable and has submitted an official note of protest to the Armenian side regarding the issue.

The Russian Foreign Ministry official emphasized that they hope the incident will be investigated and the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
