As a result of the 23-hour local anti-terror measures carried out by the Azerbaijan Army in September 2023, the sovereignty of the country was fully restored in all territories. This put an end to the existence of separatism in Karabakh. Although the main threat currently remains mine terror, the situation on the front line maintains its stability.
Modern.az reports that our last soldier who died as a result of enemy fire was soldier Orujov Vusal Kheybali oglu. Our soldier was born on February 15, 2005, in Suvajal village, Gusar region, and received his secondary education at Suvajal village secondary school.
He died on September 30, 2023, as a result of sniper fire opened from the position of the Armenian armed forces in the direction of Zarkand settlement of Basarkechar region towards the positions of the Azerbaijan Army in the direction of Ashaghi Ayrim village of Kalbajar region.
During the almost 3 years since that date, none of our soldiers have died as a result of enemy fire.
