Another exchange of prisoners of war took place between Russia and Ukraine.
Modern.az reports that the Russian Ministry of Defense released information about this.
According to the information, on June 26, 160 Russian servicemen were returned from the territories controlled by Ukraine. In return, 160 servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were handed over to the Ukrainian side.
The Ministry stated that the Russian servicemen released from captivity are currently in Belarus. They are provided with medical and psychological assistance. Also, Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantrova is working with them.
It was noted that the United Arab Emirates carried out a humanitarian mediation mission in the process of returning Russian servicemen from captivity.
The Russian Ministry of Defense expressed its gratitude to the UAE for its mediation support.
