Tuzla Mayor of Istanbul Eren Ali Bingöl, Çekmeköy Mayor Orhan Çerkez and Şile Acting Mayor Sacit Terzi have officially joined the Justice and Development Party (AKP).

Modern.az reports that, according to Turkish media, these politicians had previously left the Republican People's Party (CHP).

After the official transition, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan personally presented party badges to the new AKP members.
