Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a letter to US First Lady Melania Trump, agreed to her mediation in talks regarding a humanitarian operation in Aleshki.

According to the publication, Melania Trump's team also approached the Ukrainian side, asking if Kyiv would agree to her acting as an “exceptional mediator.”
Mark Beckman, the chief advisor to the US leader's wife, stated that after this, Melania Trump began negotiations with high-ranking Russian and Ukrainian officials. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also participated in these negotiations.
“The First Lady's relations with both Russia and Ukraine have grown closer over time. Great trust has been established between the parties, and they have achieved a lot,” Beckman said.
It should be recalled that on October 23, through Melania Trump's mediation, Russia and Ukraine reached an agreement on a local ceasefire in Aleshki. The White House announced this.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on October 27 that a ceasefire regime came into effect in the Kherson direction, in the Aleshki area, from 04:00 Moscow time, and Russian troops ceased fire.
