The French government has identified a number of measures in response to mass youth protests against poor educational conditions across the country.
Modern.az reports that French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu shared this on the social network "X".
According to the Prime Minister, the government is allocating 1 billion euros for the renovation of university buildings. In addition, 4 billion euros in loans will be provided to regions at preferential interest rates for the renovation of school buildings.
The government also undertakes to adjust the amount of scholarships starting from 2027, taking inflation into account.
In addition, the authorities promise to create an additional 15,000 places in the higher education system in 2027 and 2028. Another 500 teacher positions, as well as 500 psychologist, nurse, and social worker positions, will be created in educational institutions.
The plan also includes limiting the number of students in classrooms and ensuring a one-hour lunch break.
According to Lecornu, the government reviewed applications from 3,000 high schools to prepare changes in the education system.
