Kirill Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, denied reports that he had an argument with Steve Witkoff, the US president's special envoy, during talks in Florida on October 9.
Modern.az reports that Budanov stated this in his statement to "RBK-Ukraine".
"As for the alleged insider information about the details of the communication, these are not true. Nothing of the kind happened. We are currently observing information attacks against the negotiation process. It is important to maintain composure and remember our main goal - lasting peace for Ukraine. We are doing everything we can for this," he said.
It should be noted that "Le Monde" previously wrote that there was a tense conversation between Witkoff and Budanov. According to the publication, a "regional welfare plan" envisaging the full restoration of the transit of Russian gas and oil from the territory of Ukraine to Europe was proposed at the meeting.
