Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a phone conversation with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Modern.az reports that during the phone conversation, the development of Armenia-Uzbekistan relations and issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed.
The parties emphasized the importance of taking consistent steps to expand trade and economic ties between the two countries.
It should be noted that Armenia has recently been paying more attention to developing relations with Central Asian countries. Pashinyan recently met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Bishkek, and last month had a phone conversation with Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He also met with Kyrgyz leader Sadyr Japarov.
