According to the publication, this demand may include the withdrawal of NATO forces stationed in Poland, the Baltic states, and Finland.
It is reported that the discussion of European security in a broader framework was proposed by US special envoy Steve Witkoff at a meeting in St. Petersburg.
European diplomats, however, emphasized that they are ready to discuss security issues, but the demand to return NATO to its 1997 positions remains unacceptable.
