About 1,400 people have died and more than 4,000 are missing as a result of the flood that occurred in Nepal three weeks ago.
Modern.az reports that foreign media has spread information about this.
According to the information, the scale of the natural disaster was so great that some of the dead were buried without their identities being determined. So far, only 103 people have been buried after their identities were determined.
For more accurate identification of the dead, DNA samples are taken in Nepal from the bodies of the deceased and from the relatives of the missing.
More than 4,000 people have not been able to be contacted since the flood. Among them, 610 foreign citizens are noted.
The flood occurred on August 26 after a glacier collapsed in the high mountainous region of Nepal. The avalanche of ice, stone and mud also affected the border areas of China.
According to the Chinese authorities, 43 people died and 519 people are missing here. It is reported that 261 of the missing are citizens of 23 countries.
