Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit New York on September 22 to attend the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
Modern.az reports that Habibullah Abbasi, Director General of the Public Relations Department of the Iranian President, told “IRNA” agency about this.
According to him, Pezeshkian will speak at the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The Iranian president's visit program includes meetings and negotiations with heads of state and government of some countries participating in the session, as well as other high-ranking officials.
Pezeshkian is also reported to meet with Iranian intellectuals living in the US, as well as American scientists, experts and representatives of think tanks.
It is noted that the administration of US President Donald Trump did not issue visas to some high-ranking members of the Iranian delegation, including representatives of the president's media team, to participate in the UN General Assembly meeting in New York.
It should be recalled that the 81st session of the UN General Assembly started its activity on September 8 at the organization's headquarters in New York time with the motto “Restoring Trust”.
