If Republicans suffer a serious defeat in the congressional elections, US President Donald Trump may launch a new military operation against Iran.
Modern.az reports that “Axios” wrote this, citing its source in the White House.
According to the source's assessment, the feeling of humiliation arising from the election results may prompt Trump to take tougher steps against Tehran.
The publication states that regional partners are therefore calling on Iran to use the current opportunity to reach an agreement with the US.
“Now is their best chance to reach an agreement,” the source said.
It should be noted that the possibility of a new operation is the source's assessment.
