Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss said that if she had stayed in power longer, her country could have sent several missions to Mars from its territory by 2040.
Modern.az reports that “Politico” wrote about this, citing Truss's book “Bank Job” published on October 26.
In the final chapter of the book, titled “2040,” the former Prime Minister describes an alternative Britain where her economic and technological initiatives have been implemented. In this scenario, in addition to Mars missions, there is softer regulation in the field of artificial intelligence, lower energy prices, and accelerated procedures for approving construction projects.
In her book, Truss places a significant part of the responsibility for the financial crisis that arose during her government's tenure on the Bank of England and other state institutions.
It should be noted that Liz Truss served as Prime Minister for only 49 days in September-October 2022. She resigned after the turmoil created in financial markets by her government's proposed budget plan.
