In Syria, Bashar al-Assad's cousin Yahya al-Assad and 13 other military and security personnel who served during the former regime have been detained.
Modern.az reports that the Syrian Ministry of Interior released information about this.
According to Nureddin al-Baban, a representative of the ministry, those detained include former intelligence officers, high-ranking army commanders, pilots, and individuals suspected of involvement in mass killings.
It should be noted that Bashar al-Assad was overthrown in December 2024.
