In the parliamentary elections held in Israel, as of 10:00 AM, 1.2 million voters cast their ballots. Thus, 16.7 percent of eligible voters participated in the elections within three hours of the opening of polling stations.
Modern.az reports that “The Times of Israel” published information about this.
It is noted that the voter turnout at that hour is the highest recorded since 1981.
In 2022, 15.9 percent of voters cast their ballots within the first three hours after the start of voting.
The Israel Defense Forces also released information on voter turnout among soldiers. It was reported that as of 10:00 AM, 30 percent of soldiers participated in the voting. In the 2022 elections, this figure was 25.7 percent.
It should be recalled that these are the first parliamentary elections held in Israel after the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.
