The Egyptian parliament has approved President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's request to provide military support to Saudi Arabia and take measures for the country's defense.
Modern.az reports that Egypt's “Masrawy” publication released this information.
It was stated that the decision was made at a closed session of parliament amid increasing Houthi attacks.
Al-Sisi previously announced that Egypt's possible military involvement would be limited to the defense of Saudi Arabian territory and borders. He emphasized that participation in offensive operations in Yemen is not intended.
