The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey (MFA) has condemned Israel's attack on the "Al-Aqsa" mosque.

Modern.az reports that the Turkish MFA issued a statement regarding this.

"We most strongly condemn the raid organized by an Israeli minister on the Al-Aqsa mosque under the protection of security forces," the statement said, noting that violating the historical and legal status of holy sites in Jerusalem is against the law.

The Turkish MFA stated that preventing provocative actions is the common responsibility of the international community.

Burhanettin Duran, head of the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration, also condemned Israel's attack on this mosque on his "X" social media account:

"No attempt targeting the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque can be accepted."

It should be recalled that Israel's national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir joined thousands of Jews who raided Jerusalem's holy site on Thursday.
