In June, the water level in the lake rose by 18 centimeters. This indicator is considered the second largest increase for June based on observations since 1927.

Modern.az reports that Levon Azizyan, head of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center, provided information about this.

According to him, a larger increase in June was recorded only in 1988.

According to the center, 2026 could also be a record year in terms of the minimum volume of water released from Lake Sevan.

Thus, in 2026, significant indicators are recorded in Lake Sevan both in terms of the increase in water level and the volume of water released from the lake.
