Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian shared a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Spanish national team's victory in the 2026 World Cup.
Modern.az reports that the head of state congratulated the people and government of Spain on his social media account, drawing attention to the friendly relations between the two countries.
Pezeshkian stated in his post:
"The joy of the friendly people and government of Spain is also the joy of the people and government of Iran."
In his post, the President wished success to the people of Spain and emphasized his hope that relations between the two countries would further develop.
It should be noted that Spain's condemnation of the US for military operations against Iran has led to a warming of relations between Madrid and Tehran.
