US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will use Russian President Vladimir Putin's views on ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine during contacts in Kyiv today.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Russian President's aide Yuri Ushakov in his statement on the results of the Kremlin talks.
According to him, the meeting between Putin, Witkoff and Kushner was substantive, constructive, extremely open and held in an atmosphere of trust. The meeting lasted a total of 3 hours and 10 minutes. The talks were held both at the working table and informally during lunch.
Ushakov noted that the US representatives had seriously prepared for their visit to Moscow and put forward a number of proposals regarding possible ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. Putin, in turn, confirmed his intention to continue joint work with the US side towards a political and diplomatic resolution of the conflict.
It was stated that not only the Ukrainian issue was discussed during the talks. The parties also exchanged views on large projects that could be implemented between Russia and the US.
It should be noted that this is the eighth visit of US representatives to Russia.
